As humanity advanced further in genetic engineering, they could come to have ‘designer’ pet animals. Some of these, of course, escaped into the wilderness and established themselves within the local ecosystem in niches previously held by long-extinct animals, just like what happened long before with the introduction of horses in North America.
The Tigerhawk is a mid-sized carnivore that inhabits the wilds of Infinity Horizon. While its diet is primarily composed of fish, it is an opportunistic hunter and can and will attack larger terrestrial prey. With that said, it is not at the top of the food chain and that camouflage is as much a means to hide from predators as it is to sneak towards prey.
