The Alfar are an offshoot of humans that were genetically modified by the Bea’viskar during the YeXXx rebellion. Rather uncharacterized of a space-age war, the conflict revolved primarily around terrestrial combat. Instead of decisive space battles, the contested planets became the battlegrounds for colossal field armies vying for dominance. The Alfar served in support and recon role of the Bea’viskar forces and many see their entry as instrumental in shaping the outcome of the conflict.
Alfar are immune to disease and possess far keener senses than base humans. In addition, they are known to have long lifespans and are gifted with photographic memory. By the present, their society located within the Ark has all but forgotten about their origin and both the Alfar and humans see themselves as separate kindreds.
